Why do people dislike the RNG in the Battles? It adds an element that can make each battle different and exciting.

I think things like crits, missing, and status effects are okay.

But when it comes down to Swagger/Parafusion shenanigans then that's just not fun to play against at all.

There's a difference. All of the things I listed where RNG being forced upon you, AKA the opponent is flinching/freezing/critting you.

When you invite the RNG into your strategy by using moves with 70% accuracy, you have no right to complain. False equivalency there.

That being said, just because Gamefreak provides countermeasures to RNG doesn't mean it is realistic to use them all and not be severely gimped (also, vacuum wave has priority, not perfect accuracy)

The luck factor doesn't stop me from enjoying the game.

What it does is make me never want to join the competitive scene, or to take it seriously.

It's the same reason "competitive" smash players prefer Melee over Brawl (I'm not one of them). All games will have a certain degree of skill + luck, but those who are competitive about it will want it to be 99% skill and 1% luck.
