Any time you are dealing with LARGE AREAS OF FLAT COLOR, you are supposed to use .png as your format. Editing this official artwork is one of those times.
JPG is SPECIFICALLY for when there are insane color differences in each pixel, like in real life photos.
Please, please use .png. If you zoom in on that .jpg image in that post, you may zoom in to find a large amount of .jpg artifacts that have to be painstakingly recolored after being put in the proper image format.
