Nigga you don't understand.

Any time you are dealing with LARGE AREAS OF FLAT COLOR, you are supposed to use .png as your format. Editing this official artwork is one of those times.

JPG is SPECIFICALLY for when there are insane color differences in each pixel, like in real life photos.

Please, please use .png. If you zoom in on that .jpg image in that post, you may zoom in to find a large amount of .jpg artifacts that have to be painstakingly recolored after being put in the proper image format.

Gaussian Blur, at least in my experience, is only used when I want to smooth out color transitions, like in >>21127775 in her hair, leg, etc. when I did the shading for those sections.

Otherwise it's not perfectly accurate. I just like to be lucid of the colors I'm using.

Selective Gaussian Blur is a different tool, it specifically avoids colour transitions past a threshold value and only smooths out tiny irregularities like JPG artifacts..

.png is just a superior format. There's very, very little value in ever saving as a .jpg.

Besides, when you save it as that anyway, those irregularities just happen again, so you have to correct it again, and again, and so on.

So prevent the problem and save in a superior format.
