Why do people never suggest Granbull as a Garchomp counter? I tried one in OU and it makes peoples Chomps run away like 90% of the time. Even if they predict the switch and Iron Head people still switch out since it does laughable damage after an Intimidate.

I'd rather use a pokemon that can check many other OU pokemon than a shitmon that does great against 1 particular pokemon and is dead weight against most other things.

I used it in UU for Heracross.
As far as Garchomp goes.
-1 252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Granbull: 138-163 (35.9 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
You switch in once and then you can't switch in again because no recovery.

Presumably it'd be fully physically defensive because it's not really soaking up special hits any time soon, and I wouldn't say it's really strong enough to warrant anything offensive.

That said, it seems pretty much like a one-trick pony and it's ugly as fuck, too.

I used to use it on a trick room OU team for shits and giggles. It can do decent damage but it doesn't get many OHKOs.

Bulk-wise it's pretty good actually as long as you're against physical attacks and intimidate works. But still you end up taking more damage than you give.

Having Granbulll in your OU team means that while you won't be swept by the Chomp you'll also be playing with 5 members against anyone that doesn't use Garchomp because Granbull is dead weight
