Anyone else here think Rayquaza is OU material? I may sound crazy here, but I have a few points
-95 Speed is slow, even at +1 you're outsped by a lot of things and outsped by every relevant scarfer.
-105/90/90 defenses are pretty mediocre.
-You may think that 150/150 attacking stats are high, but they really aren't, not when you have shit like megacham and megazam in OU.
-Weak to common priority in ice shard, things like scizors bullet punch and talonflame's brave bird will leave a mark as well.
-Takes 25% just to come in, and unlike a lot of flying types, it doesn't get roost.

Rayquaza's V-create is weaker than Charizard-X's flare blitz.
Rayquaza's Outrage is weaker than Charizard-X's.
Charizard-X is faster than Rayquaza.
Charizard-X is immune to burn.
Charizard-X learns roost to pull off a bulky dancer set.
Charizard-X is neutral to ice shard.

Rayquaza's only advantage over Charizard-X is its special movepool and E-speed.

But they're Megas, they don't have an item. Rayquaza, however, enjoys a free Life Orb to back its stats. When's the last time you saw a regular Pokemon running around with any base attacking stat at 150 without severe disadvantages?

You're just wrong about that.

You already mentioned E-Speed.
I'm not sure you realize how great it is to be able to go special while everybody expects physical or to use a mixed set.
You also don't have to give up a megaslot, and could run Swords Dance and just generally have a lot more versatility.

Rayquaza also beats Kabutops/Kingdra in rain and Excadrill in sand while Charizard is OHKO'd, but we don't have to talk about that now.

Adamant Rayquayquay is stronger than CharX but slower, Jolly Rayray is just as strong but faster. Plus he has fucking base 150 Sp.Atk if someone wants to run a mixed set

Let's say he gets a mega/primal forme.

+25 to both attack stats, +20 speed, +15 to both defenses. Still dragon/flying. Gets an ability that nullifies all weather and terrain effects, and causes the types associated with all four weathers to do 1/2 damage, factoring in his existing types. That would be 1/4 from fire and water, neutral from rock, and 2x from ice. No change to attacks targeting anything else in doubles/triples/etc, though, unlike Desolate Land and Sea of Beginnings; it only covers Rayquaza.

Is it actually good in ubers?
