Baton Pass only got restricted due to Sylveon existing.

It buffed Poison, a defensive type.
It buffed Ghost, an offensive type.
It buffed AND nerfed Steel/Dark, they're both still very good types regardless.
And it nerfed Dragon and Fighting, both offensive types.

Yeah it was so great that a team with six mons with identical abilities, movesets and items could hax a normal, well built team to death.

It was so great that the only answers to it were garbage moves/abilities/mons that were next to impossible to fit on a team when you're trying to prepare for the dozens of OP mons gamefreak has given us in the last two gens

Wonder Guard isn't really BROKEN (except in specific cases like Wondertomb) - just obnoxious (though I've toyed with the idea of giving it to a legendary with an atrocious defensive typing like Ice/Rock or Ice/Grass).

Shadow Tag has been broken since its inception - it was manageable when only Wobbuffet got it, but then the Dream World gave us Shadow Tag Gothitelle and threatened us with Shadow Tag Chandelure, which became Shadow Tag Mega Gengar because apparently Gamefreak didn't think the DW metagame with Chandelure in it was broken enough.

Swagger confuses the opponent AND gives them a Swords Dance boost. Confuse Ray and Teeter Dance just confuse. Free turns plus your opponent massacring themselves with their own attacks is worse than just the odd free turn.

If you think Confuse Ray and Teeter Dance are as broken as Swagger, go build a team that abuses them and rate highly on the ladder. Look at the Swagger suspect test, it will teach you how to use confusion to best effect as opposed to the somewhat crude methods used on the public ladder beforehand.

Nothing has significantly changed between swagger fifth and sixth gen, it was only banned now because someone perfected a team that abuses swagger and got high up on the ladder. The exact same thing happened to baton pass, it was just a crude gimmick, but someone made a "perfect" team that solved the game, getting banned only this gen because of how high it got on the ladder.

I could probably make a team and get acupressure banned.

It was banned because it gained a perfect abuser (Klefki), Thundurus was brought back into OU, and Foul Play was buffed to be able to nail Steel types.

Acupressure will never get banned because it doesn't affect your opponent's ability to outright kill you during the early setup phases. Snips is the best user of acupressure, and even that can't set up on anything with a decently potent EQ. Same for Tentacruel and Toxicroak.

Mawile is fucked by Aegislash as much as any other physical attacker, but if your opponent predicts incorrectly you could possibly get a KO off by Sucker Punching on an expected switch, though your opponent would have to be really fucking stupid or brave to bluff that hard.

Even if Mawile were banned specifically because Aegislash was banned (which wasn't the case), having only one mon that keeps it from going wild is a perfectly good reason to ban it.
