Why do new pokemon have such shit names?

Tangela - spelling variation of tangle, appropriate
Tangrowth - hurr it got bigger lets put growth at the end. lame name lame evolution

Lickitung - lick + spelling variation of tongue, mildy clever, appropriate.
Lickilicky - lick lick? so good they named it twice..? nope same shit but fatter, yawn

Eevee - palindrome, cool name
Leafeon - are they even trying? might as well have called it Grasseon. They should've given it some flowers and called it Floreon

Togetic (togechick) - means spikechick, appropriate name
Togekiss - spikekiss? wtf is that supposed to mean? the only kiss it learns lovely kiss which is fucking useless anyway. dumb name.

Dusklops - One eyed ghost, appropriate name
Dusknoir - Duskblack...? What the fuck GF
