Been wanting to get my hands on a Mega Charizard X, since I got other's starters Megas too, but way too pricy online.

I've never used it but I don't think that is the case. The attack just puts the card into your hand. Then you have to waste another turn evolving.

It is without a doubt the worst.

pokemon fan club only allows you to search for base pokémon, while Trevor allows you to search for ANY pokémon. It is better than Master Ball because it doesn't take the Ace Spec slot and you can put more than one in your deck.

Basic pokemon are all you need right now. The only reason this card will ever see play (if it ever does see play) is because Seismitoad ends up being a huge force and there is an evolution based deck that wants a better matchup against it.

I doubt that will happen any time soon.

basic pokemon are all you need because EXs count as basics and stage 1 and 2 are sometimes not worth it because they are hard to pull out, but Trevor makes finding evolution cards way easier, while they do take some turns to set up and it's inferior to evosoda it can still be really useful.

Hey guys, I need some ideas.

I'm running a Gourgeist/Meowstic budget deck right now. It works quite well: either I can spread the damage around and play it slow or go for the one-shot KO against EXs with Laser. (Right now I prefer Meowstic to Dusknoir to avoid dealing with Garbodor, but that's beside the point.)

The problem is Yveltal. Even babby Yveltal does 30x2 damage, which is enough to KO Pumpkaboo, and a Muscle Band would KO Gourgeist.

My initial thought is to shove in 1-2 Mewtwo to buy myself a couple of turns to get set up, but I'm not sure.

Do you have any better ideas? Not looking for a world championship deck here, just something to increase my chances against a fairly common opponent.

Well you are already running a budget gimmicky deck, why not go full fun and use something like zapdos or zekrom EX? Some rainbow energy and a couple of lightning would fit right? Don't think gorgeist and meowstic take a ton of energy for their attacks

I thought that Manectric EX from the upcoming set would be outstanding, considering the number of Muscle Bands floating around. I imagine that lots of people will be running one of those once it's released.

I don't love the 3 energy requirement of Zekrom but the chance to do 160 damage (and a future 20 from Gourgeist) might be worth it.

Zapdos might be interesting if I can get a couple of good Agility flips to buy some time--and I'd need a lot of luck anyway to beat that deck. (Hypnotoxic Laser would aid in this effort.)

What I hadn't noticed is babby Zekrom from Legendary Treasures, which is two colorless for Outrage. But Yveltal with 3 energy and a Muscle Band would knock it out.

Meanwhile, Mewtwo would do at least 80 damage with 2 energy.

Much to think about, thanks.

Well made decks will usually wreck it, you can get some easy wins against people that don't build a deck with it in mind I guess. I played one for a little while when I started and hated it because 90% of the decks I played against had a solid counter to it.

I agree, that's what keeps me from winning most of my games. Donphan wrecks my shit constantly (hits too hard, cannot be OHKO'd), Seismitoad will kill me if my opponent gets to play Garbodor and Beartic is straight a lost game. Lucario/Landorus EX for some reason is easy to deal with.

If you wanted something really rare, then that would be a FA Mewtwo EX.

I just started playing online a couple of weeks ago (all for free, not putting a single penny in) and I've been playing Unlimited with a deck I made with the free cards I got available and improving it through trade, trainer challenge's boosters and redeeming boosters. Since I started with this deck, and throughout the editing process (which hasn't finished yet) I'd say I've won about 2/3 of my played games, even against all those decks packed with EX cards, Megas and shit (I have none).

I wanna know if it'd be beter for me to turn it into a Standard deck (I'm a few cards away, like less than 10) or I should just get anything I want and keep playing Unlimited. Will I find better players and better decks in general? Will I get utterly decimated without EX pokemon and very rare/expensive cards?

Throh may still see some use with Stronk energies and muscle bands, but it's an unreliable mon.

Terrakions may lack sufficient damage output, but you can always slap a float stone and hope it survives the next attack.

LT Stunfisks make a good poor-man's Landorus EX.

Lucario EXs with Strong are a boon to fight decks. If you can, get them, especially since they synergize so well with FuF Landorus.

It doesn't one shot anything unless you have 2/3 energy be strong energy, a muscle band, and a fighting stadium. Even that is 10 short of knocking out Yveltal.

Dude before stating a fact read your shit. Can't you see the big "TRAINER" text at the top left of the card? Trainer cards were divided into Items (play as much as you want), Supporters (one per turn) and Stadiums (one per turn, stays in play and affects both players).

the guys are so incompetent they over run scheduled maintenance by HOURS every time
they introduce NEW BUGS every update
they are heavily understaffed and have low resources, skills and labor.
there will be ALOT of accounts that have used the promo codes, even a script that will search the trade logs, GLOBAL trade logs (as if the server will be able to handle that live)
(oh it say's 'at the end of a promotion' lel)
the accounts will need to be vetted manually, to check for creation date and trade date to what account.
the database is probably not comprehensive and these 2 dates will have to be cross referenced.
This is just scareware tactics damage control because they where retards (again) in the first place and didnt think HUH FREE PACKS AND SHIT, PEOPLE WONT EXPLOIT THAT HURRDURR

I doubt these retards have the time resources or balls to do whats needed.

If you have done this they cannot suspend your account.

The EULA is not displayed on the main trainer page, the client or linked during registration, also its worth noting, to register an account you need a;
User name, Screen name, DOB, password and email, then you click the verification email link, the only way they could get you on false info is if asked to verify your DOB.

Sigilyph also has a lower retreat cost. I'm testing 2 Suicune in my Donphan deck because the extra 10 HP may come in handy. It might not be a bad idea to go with Sigilyph if you run Trevenants since you can incorporate Psychic energy and Trevenant's 100 accumulated dmg is useful (since it hits the bench and you're not usually going to KO with Donphan).

It's been a glorious 2 days.

Some highlights:
