This is just stupid. Pokemon are nothing more than tools for battle, nothing else. A Pokemon's value is based on what competitive use they have. Who would honestly treat these things like friends or equals if they were real? It would be kill or be killed, considering how dangerous they can be. So if you can control them, you've got power.
