Rock and Ground are combined into just one type, the new type keeps the name Rock.

New Rock types are weak to Water, Grass, Fighting, and Ice.
New Rock types are super effective against Flying, Fire, Electric, and Steel.
New Rock types are immune to Electric.

Attacks like Earthquake still can't hit Flying types and Pokemon that have Levitate, but some moves that were once Ground type now have an affect on those pokemon.

Pokemon that were once Ground/Rock are now monotype Rock.
Pokemon that were part Ground type are now part Rock type.
Pokemon that were monotype Ground and now monotype Rock.


How would this affect the metagame?
