Gallade's default stats aren't terrible per se, but he suffers from poor speed and a metagame where physical attackers are far more dominant than special ones.
His typing is a problem because gen 6 added insult to injury by making Psychic types even worse with Fairy, and he's always had 4MSS as a result
His movepool is fantastic but doesn't have the STABs to truly take advantage of it, he is IIRC the only fighting type to have access to destiny bond though which may be worth considering
His abilities are all shit.
So, we know pretty much everything about M-Gallade except stats, and the two things that it needed to excel are good stats and a useful ability, which has been a complete disappointment. This is why it's so laughable. We don't know its stats yet but people already assume that they're going to remain reverse of Gardevoir's. This is why he's being written off
