No, this isn't a case of people falling in love with everything Gamefreak makes. I've seen a fair share of criticism against some megas or some other ideas in ORAS that genuinely make sense. Cases like Greninja are, once again, the act of a vocal minority. The people who probably liked it had no reason to really say anything since it was believed to be fake anyway. The people who hated it wanted to further disprove it by calling it ugly: vocal minority.
