it looks plastic because genesect is super shiny, SSB usually go for gritty over shiny

I mean look at what Mario was like in Brawl, was there really any need for his overalls to be that dark and detailed?

Well, 3DS went and is still going great after a dubious release, it even managed to cover awful WiiU's sales so there's market for a new handheld since one if its biggest selling points is having actual exclusives instead of ports from the home console or multiplats.

There are many ways around that. Use digital distribution. Release two different versions. The important thing is that developers could publish the same game on both platforms, which would solve Nintendo's third-party problem on consoles.
