People keep bitching about Delibird and Farfetch'd; but Golduck is the one bird that deserves a serious buff. The guy has been terrible from day one; a new type or a stat increase is long overdue.

Do we know yet which stats of Raymond will get a boost in megaform? Currently doing some calcs, and if his SpD gets a boost of +20, then an Icebeam from a scarfed modest fully invested Golduck will only OHKO 50% of the times. However Golduck should live an E-speed just fine, unless Ray's attack gets +100 and he is adamant, in whch case it does 84.7 - 100% to an 4HP/0Def Golduck. And it is unlikely that Mega-Rayquaza will get 250 base attack.

So, yeah, counter confirmed, unless Ray's speed is raised to base 150 or something.

This calc was with 4HP/0SpD on Mega Ray, btw.

I'm not sure but if cloud 9 negates primal weather, then it also negates Ray's weather too.

Counter would mean that Golduck can switch into Rayquaza and kill it the next turn, which it can't.
Check means that if Golduck gets in at full hp, it will be able to kill Rayquaza.

Counters can switch in, checks can not.

As far as we know, it can be like Tom Bombadil versus the One Ring. He just doesn't give a shit about it (which is what cloud nine actually means), despite it being made by an fallen arch angel.

So probably none of them by a huge amount. I don't think his SpD will get a +20, so people would need to invest in SpD to live an Icebeam from Goldplatybus.
