Agreed. The only flaws with it were that you had to get a good ending in each movie once to be able to use your own Pokemon in it, and the fact that the films were basically Pokemon battles, which meant crits were still possible.

It is just like Hackson and Lucas in a way. All the good parts came from how limited technology was at first. As CGI advanced and they got more control of the projects they put in everything they could whether it was a good idea or not. They also didn't try to appeal to absolutely everyone at first, but with the newer trilogies they appealed more to kids and women and such. Just like with Pokemon where early on it was harder to do things like tutorials and such as it was constrained by the limits of GB/GBC and didn't bend over backwards to appeal to the most casual of audiences.

I know what you mean anon. Anything past gen II just isn't Pokemon. It's a shame this will probably fly over everyone's head in this thread. The new crap they keep pumping out just doesn't have the right atmosphere. It probably would have been better for us if gamefreak went out of business in 2002 so they wouldn't have had a chance to ruin the franchise with the steaming turd that was gen III.
