Why has pokemon art gotten so generic and cutesy? What happened to the distinctive water-coloring and the edginess? Maybe my nostalgia-goggles are heavy, but I remember actually treasuring my gen I and II manuals for the artwork, whereas nothing from gen III on really stood out.
