>versatilityThis one may also be in Ash's favor, depending on how you play. Or we can compare it to Origins Red, who left all his Pokemon severely underleveled except for his starter, in which case Ash gets the edge for sure (this had a tendency to bite him in the butt in Best Wishes).
>notabilityTie. Red became champion and got in Brawl, but Ash is just about as notable.
>caring about one's PokemonAsh is ahead on this one by a nose. They both treat their Pokemon as more than simply tools of war, but Ash is willing to let go of his Pokemon so they may be happy.
>skillN/A. They both go by different mechanics/physics, so there's no telling who would win.
>maturityAsh. Ash got gud over time (with the exception of BW, but XY picked up the pieces and Ash is gitting gud again). He also improved socially (even though he was a ki-er, dweeb again in BW, but I digress). To put it into perspective, in earlier seasons all of Ash's female companions would either ask him if they can travel with him or traveled with him without him asking, while in XY he was the one to ask Serena to journey with him. While Red can be seen as the better trainer, he never said a thing in your encounters with him, leading to the possibility that Red is autistic.
>overallAsh. Red may be a better trainer, but Ash is a better person (even though Red isn't so bad of a person himself). At least they're both weiß.
