Explorers of time/darkness/sky were fuckin amazing. the first time i played time nearly brought me to tears when i was like 10. GBA Versions i haven't completed.

I liked the first two (the second one was the one with Darkrai right?) the best actually, for some reason I didn't like the other. Also I liked how they handed the final boss with them actually considering you beating it and being able to play it again with a deja vu mechanic, more games should do that, I fucking hate how Zelda games end.

You were right about the second being the Darkrai one. And I can understand why someone wouldn't fully enjoy guardian signs. My biggest quip with it is that it's a bunch of islands so having three great beasts you can ride seems like it wasn't that well thought out.

in gaurdian signs defence, the islands are pretty fucking big and two of them are linked via a bridge. I'd be a little more concerned about the running speed of the beasts, it isn't really all that fast. duoduo from previous games feel faster

At least in Time/Darkness/Sky there are at least three different facial expressions for every pokemon. In Red and Blue it's only for story relevant pokemon.
