It's funny for people who wasted hours of their life trying to breed a suicune when it wasn't possible. The setup is relating to the stupidity of raising the legendary, the payoff is the egg fleeing, which arrives at the same conclusion, but subverts the expectations of how the punchline arrives there.
There's no setup with abra egg. Any pokemon player knows you could just bike for another 30 seconds, to get another egg, so there's no sense of schadenfreude over the artist
