The only mega stone I use is for blaziken and medicham. And I barely use it at that. It's not really necessary. I don't use it.

I'd be very happy with split evos (with less OP stats) and regular evos. I'd enjoy the diversity of having two/three paths for a pokemon to eventually evolve into, like the Oddish/Poliwag line have now.
