I'm doing a "jumpchain" CYOA (choose your own adventure) in which you spend ten years in a setting, like a game or tv series, then "jump" on to a new "chain" with the items, powers and companions you've collected.
The first two typically done are a pokemon trainer setting and a pokemon mystery dungeon setting.
you keep all your pokemon as companions from the first, and play as a pokemon during the second, getting a companion of your choosing who acquires a human form after leaving.
I wanted some feedback on my team from the two.
I chose to be a riolu so i could use aura to sense other lifeforms around me, and use it to attack.
I chose gardevoir as my partner because psychokinetic powers are somewhat rare and very useful in other settings.
Pikachu, sylveon and glaceon are mostly supposed to be pets, as i'll want some company over the hundreds of years these things typically last.
They're cute, helpful and fairly combat-ready.
Blaziken is meant to be my personal bodyguard, with tyrannitar and aggron being gardevoir's bodyguards.
Blaziken, aggron, tyrannitar and myself all have mega-evolution stones collected during the first pokemon trainer chain.
Their movesets are intended to be more useful outside the pokemon setting than in, and based mostly on what i intend them to be doing in those outside settings.
Pikachu for example would be used to recharge my conduit powers, gained from the infamous chain.
Kind of like an external battery pack.
Now, i don't browse /vp/ at all, so i don't know what biases you might have towards certain pokemon or their moves.
