the question is what moves to run, I play VGC so maybe in singles you won't have this issue, in VGC generally you only have three moveslots because one is taken by protect. so is hyper voice/fire blast enough coverage? do you want draco meteor/pulse to hit fire types neutrally? what else would you even put in the third slot?

Altaria is bulky, use roost instead, hyper voice/return+fire blas/earthquaket is enough coverage, i'd rather use cotton guard, those two attacks and roost

Draco is required to OHKO X-zard. Even through resist, Tough Claws STAB Flare Blitz hits hard, and can 2HKO at +1 unless Altaria gets a decent boost to Def. With uninvested 110 base SpA, Pix. Hyper Voice is only doing ~50% to the bulky variant.

Draco still hits pretty hard and is neutral on Poison and Fire, e.g. it does half to Y-zard with 110 base SpA. It's not like there's anything terribly useful to replace it, besides Roar I guess.

Resists the dual STABs of Keldeo, as well as Y-zard Fire STAB, and resists pursuit.

Resist M-Heracross' and X-zard's dual STABs.

Walls CB Dnite utterly. Thundurus will also have a hard time, along with pretty much every other electric.

Resists/immune to one of the STABs (the stronger one, e.g. CC vs. Stone Edge) of Terrakion, Garchomp, Latis, M-Medichametc.

Has too much offensive presence, unlike other wallmons, for a lot of offensive pokemon to safely switch in+it can beat some stuff it can't perpetually wall, namely Mega Dos.

It defensive potential is really, really good.
