Is there a single person who thinks XY are the best games in the series?

And for the rest of you, can we all agree that they were a great disappointment and one the weaker titles in the entire series?

The post-game was shit and the exp share was shit as well, but I like a lot of stuff that happened in XY.
The story was decent. The new pokemon was good. Graphics is good. New mechanics where alright. Could have done without Mega Evolution though.
I'll but them above regular BW at least.

it was better in all the ways it should be because of new technology, but it felt really unrememberable. Dull story, dull music. BW were good in both those senses.

Like that anon said, graphics are good but ANIMATIONS are shit, no life on those souless movements. Remember Kangashkan on stadium 1? That was the shit.
Most of the battle mechanics are just the same as previous generations plus little improvements here and there, those are just fine.

The models was good. Better than the horrible moving sprites from gen V. Although I miss the older sprites as well, but that's just my nostalgia kicking in. The overworld isn't extremely polished, but then again it wasn't polished ever.
I prefer the gen VI pokemon to gen V pokemon at least, but that depends on opinion.

And I think you're opinion is shit as well.
Gen VI has some forgetable designs, bu unlike gen V there are very few designs I truly dislike.
I also think Mega would overshadow a lot of pokemon no matter what generation they were introduced in.

despite what /vp/ thinks, I think that the kanto pandering makes it better. It's gen 6, by now there's a new generation of kids as well. It worked beautifully to bring the old and new together, and I liked how it has a more worldely feel to it, with references to every other region, the amount of pokemon in it, and even the old legends and snorlax. It shows that the pokemon world doesn't have clear cut borders like a game notmally would. It shows that it's all a melting pot; different beliefs, legends, people, areas, all coming together to truly make a pokemon world.

The main reason why I like Gen VI is because the focus was put on balancing things out. It's still far from perfect, but it's a lot better.

I just wish megas didn't throw it completely out of that balance, kind of a slap in the face to that hard work.

-better mechanics (inb4 muh fairy, muh priority, fucking weather wars I hated them)

-destiny knot
-kalos is shit, but unova is too, without a fuckhuge dex.
