The same way as any other demo?
Redeem the code at eshop, then download the app.
Sending stuff from the demo wil probably work with Pokemon Link, similar to Pokemon Bank.

The demo is set in Mossdeep City (and some cave where you fight the Admins). You'll get a special mon who has a brand new Mega Evolution, and then you can transfer it and the items you get to the full game.
It's likely that the new Mega Stone will be exclusive to the demo.
