/vp/, how do I git gud at Voltorb Flip?

Normally, I start by eliminating "useless" rows and columns (there's one of each in this screenshot), choose a spot where there's unlikely to be a Voltorb and hope that there isn't one, and then figure out the rest by trying to add up the hypothetical numbers correctly.
