I actually had a double team plan with my girlfriend for a mason. She used mega Venusaur and I used a bulky steelix and only rototillered up her venusaur.

Pretty fun but breeding for it was kind of a pain in the dick.

It still wouldn't be used over CC and HJK. Only actual changes would be to give Poliwrath a usable fighting STAB. And I guess Excadrill would use it solely for Ferrothorn (would be almost suicidal) and Skarm (still wouldn't kill).

So Detect is now basically King Shield and Protect isn't omnipotent. Detect gets wider distribution (Almost anything highly intelligent, with exceptional eyesight, or things with hands)

Tail whip saved my ass against Brock in the yellow version because I was too dumb to catch Nidoran. I used two suicide Rattattas to just lower Onix's defense and then had my killer Metapod and Pikachu finish it off with repeated Tackles and Quick Attacks.

Drill run is a coverage move for Rapidash, even though Rpidash kind of sucks.

It's a Gen I move, and it was pretty good back then, since the Pokemon how could learn them had piss tiny offensive movepools (Hyper Beam and Double-Edge for Pidgeot, Hyper Beam, Double-Edge and Drill Peck for Fearow) and this allowed them to branch out a bit if the opponent used something mirror-worthy.

Power Herb Hawlucha uses Sky Attack.

Does anybody use Metal Claw? It's such a weak move I don't think it even works for Coverage. I think the "training" moves like that that you have to put up with until you learn something better fit the "Moves nobody really uses". How about Swift, anyone uses Swift? Wing Attack? I've seen some people use it on Mega Aerodactyl, and it wasn't really good.

Swift on Sylveon if you really hate Minimize users, want to use Pixilate and don't want to use a genned Eevee with Hyper Voice, but other than that it's not worth using it since it's weaker than Moonblast.
