The people in this thread are quite impressive if they've managed the feats that they claim to have accomplished. I myself run a ledian and rampardos on the same OU team and still manage to keep a decent ranking.

Game Freak's ideas are as follows:

Good design? Make it a shitmon.
Bad design? Make it really powerful.

There are a few exceptions, like Greninja for the first one or Goodra for the second.
