Depends on the boost he gets from the mega, but most likely it would be worse, yeah. They would probably try to add some points to his defenses instead of focusing on speed/special attack.

And even if it does get mega it will probably be outclassed by regular Sheer Force + Life Orb Darmanitan. It needs +60 attack to equal the loss of life orb, and that would result in 200 base attack, higher than M-Mewtwo X
