With ORAS coming quickly are there any thoughts on what you're doing for your secret base?

Let's have a thread were people post a team for their gym and others give advice on how to improve it or what Moves to use. Then you give out your team and other anons rate.

Metagross-Steel/Psychic
Empoleon-Water/Steel
Skarmory-Steel/Flying

This is what I have so far. I've never used skarmory or Forretress before and only ever used empoleon as a starter. Any advice? I was thinking of swaping metagross for mega mawhile since I don't have a moveset for metagross until I know his megas base stats.

I actually thought about this, giving them only heal pulse would be awesome but knowing gamefreak they'd probably make it so that you can't get exp from these battle

But I am not sure. Maybe I will go with a water team. But then again: the AI is going to loose the battle no matter what.

Any thoughts? I've been sitting on this for awhile but haven't come to any conclusions. And is this Forretress even viable? I thought it would be good as a lead but a taunt would shut him down quickly

It'd be cool if you could have it on mirage island or whatever that spooky island is on the map. But I would take a base in the clouds that you could only get to with latios/as but then no one would come

The steam group I'm in made out of /vp/oreons is actually making an entire Pokemon League. Going to put all our secret base QR codes in a labelled list and have people challenge it for fun.

I am the head member of the Elite 4 while our admin is the Champion.

A total of 13 members. I'm the Fairy guy (girl, since I'm playing as May no doubt) so I'll try to just ensure that I have anything that screams "fairy type" in full force.

No gym trainers either, since E4 don't have lackeys.

Of course. 8 gym leaders and four E4 and 1 Champion.

I'm only really wondering though if we're going to be able to ensure that challengers actually are able to enter into this stuff with damaged teams.

Because in a regular E4 you don't have a Pokecenter to go back to and heal with. If your team is auto-healed when you start gym challenges like what happens when you enter your 'mons into the Battle Tower and stuff like that then that'll make things easier for the challenger.

Are you like in-game gym leaders?
Like with underleveled or not fully evolved pokemon or are you full tryhard smogon leaders?

If we can make more than one base and make multiple QR codes at a time then I don't see why we couldn't have multiple sets of levels for different tiers of challenge. That said, no, in its current state we're going to have everything at its most powerful because endgame and postgame is the audience we're after, not people during their journey.

We fully expect people to be bringing their competitive teams anyway. You could use your in-game one though if you want though because the Ai is probably going to battle like a retard.

I'm going to make a Fighting type gym.

If there is a ring, I'll use it, if not I'll try to inspire and invoke the idea of a ring and I'll use the npc as close as possible as a wrestler.

Only wrestling related pokemon on the gym (Machamp, Hariyama and Hawlucha are locks, maybe a Machoke too).
My challenge dialog will be:
"To be the man you gotta beat the man! Are you ready, brother?!"
