Let's say in Gen 7, Gamefreak starts creating Pokemon that are more or less indistinguishable from weird-looking humans. Not these cutesy, super-deformed blobs like Meloetta, but more like pic related.

Would this be a bad thing or a good thing?

It would be a unique concept, for say, maybe a few Pokemon? A whole generation, though? I think that in itself would be overboard. Giving a few Pokemon similar qualities might give the anime something to talk about or add some lore to the series. I don't know, I prefer the more animal-oriented Pokemon (aside from humans, that is). I wouldn't expect GF to give us any kind of story since, well, we still don't understand Jynx until this day, quite honestly...

A bad thing. This only works in Digimon because Digimon can speak like humans and aren't mass collected by 10 year-olds for pitfighting/kept as pets and fed dry food from bowls. Very few Pokemon have the ability to talk like a human and it would be very weird otherwise. Many things can be squeezed into the Pokemon franchise but humanoid Pokemon are not among them in my opinion. The closets thing we can possibly get would be that Burst thing where trainers can fuse with Pokemon sealed inside tiny stones.

That would be bad, it looks literally like a human with wings. It works in the digimon series but not in pokemon.
The only way I could buy a human Pokemon is if it is a "hidden link" between the evolution of Pokemon and humans. But that is only if GF says that humans are Pokemon, something I doubt.

Pokemon are(or should be) the animals of the pokemon world, monsters living in the natural world.

That's why I always hated humanoid pokemon they just break the idea of the pokemon world. Especially fighting pokemon are guilty of this.

I much rather see a lot of pokemon redesigned to make them more animal like.

Friendly reminder that being compared to a Digimon, Beyblade or Yu-Gi-Oh creatures is always a bad thing or an offense. Unless you are 12yo this should not be accepted in the 2014-2015 years.

Humanoid, mecha-inspired and/or overdesigned creatures should be "contained" in different genres of anime and games, especially the waifu monsters from Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade, and similar characters/monsters. Pokemon should remain mostly animals with some myths and other smart folk inspirations with few non-animal exceptions.
I'm sure this is the series selling point, eapecially because Pokemon is alredy an alternative to the other anime and games that were listed here.

I'd laugh if that's the reason there's so few Unova Megas- they get Burst evos instead, and they've already all been revealed in the manga.

I don't know if it's good or bad, but it would be the point I stop playing. Except if it functioned similar to Digimon s3 where they fused with the humans for their ultimate form. But Megas existing kinda signals to me that this probably won't happen, at least for a while.

I'm still minorly buttmad over some of the Mega choices, not the 3rd levels getting 4ths (I honestly like the mechanic), more like base levels getting megas, so I think straight up human Pokemon without "friendship fusion" would sink my boat.
