There's been something that's been bugging me ever since gen V....
Not counting the champion, I was always under the assumption that each region's Elite Four had a "leader" of sorts who coordinated them and usually represented them as a whole. This leader was always the last one of them you fought, and was usually the strongest out of them.
Gen I: Lance
Gen II: Karen
Gen III: Drake
Gen IV: Lucian
Gen V to VI is where it gets kind of fuzzy, because you can fight the Elite Four in any order you please, so there's no indication as to who is the leader amongst them (again, not counting the champion).
So do gen V and VI have leaders or did they just scrap that concept?
