Look, I love Emerald myself, it being the only reason I don't sell/scrap my GBA. In comparison to newer games it is real fucking fast and barely has any load times in between, something modern Pokemon games haven't got. X/Y has lag between menus, BW2 aren't that fast, D/P were hella slow etc.

But saying that Emerald was the last great Pokemon game is taking it too far.
