If the eye is in the red visors, the tears would not get past them, but instead begin collecting water at the bottom.
Also, if that's the case, how does Garchomp's tongue pierce the visor without any form of red hue at the end of physical penetration?
The tears can't be over the visor, because we can clearly see the eye itself is inside it due to the red hue.
