I'd take that as pretty solid indication it WAS the same Pokemon. The Froakie Serena got offered was voiced by Kiyotaka Furushima because it was a different Froakie than the one we had seen before.

Have you guys heard of Takeshi Shudo? If not, he wrote a lot of the original Pokemon episodes and the MewTwo movie. Shudo has made several novels based on Pokemon, some points which are constantly debated to be canon or not. Here's a link to a Translation:

I think Ashs father and grandfather are G-Men. High ranking ones too. If you forgot what the G-Men were, they were covert ops working to put an end to Pokemon abuse and stopping evil teams such as Team Rocket or Team Aqua or Magma. Some even say Looker is part of this organization, but that's debatable. However, Lance, the champion of Kanto is an officer for the G-Men. If a Champion level Trainer is only an officer, exactly who is giving Lance orders then? That's weird to me, a person that controls many high level Pokemon isn't a high ranking individual. He obviously has leadership skills if he's the champion. The thing that makes me believe that Ashs father and Grandfather are high ranking G-Men is because even though they left on adventures of their own, they haven't been listed in the overall list of trainers. They fell off the face of the earth and were never heard from again. Could this be to protect their identities? What do you guys think?
