And again, people were not expecting a special set to be viable with 145 Attack Nasty plot. Notice how this guy is acting like Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, Shadow Ball, and Vacuum Wave don't exist.

They weren't really wrong, they were just not thinking about the right possibilities because they are ONE person. GameFreak is ~80, and Smogon is around 350,000 or more.

How did fairy even become a type someone thought of? How exactly did it happen? Someone just said, you know what? there really needs to be a fairy type.

It was one of those "wut" types along with sound. hell light would've made sense for someone to imagine up since it's in contrast with Dark...Could've been called a holy type or something in japan, but fairy? shit just came clear out of the blue it seems like.

I don't have the archive but I remember a pretty long thread talking about Fairies back in January, and people were saying Mega Mawile was not only not OU-worthy, but not even viable whatsoever.
