M-Pidgeot is an interesting case. As it stands now it is definitely a one-trick pony, but the one trick it has is pretty damn good. Hurricane spam is mighty fine, the move is powerful enough that it won't be totally doomed without an item if it gets a decent Sp.Atk boost. Heat Wave also allows it to take out Steels, leaving Rock types as a hard stop, but even if Stone Edge could still miss that's a battle you'd want to run from.
People like to bitch about "lol No Guard drawback" and "GF can't into stat distro", but we have seen a number of cases in the current Mega selection where stats were handled well (Heracross, Manectric, Gengar, Mawile) and suitable new moves were added (Heracross, Blastoise, Ampharos). The folks at GameFreak are the last people who need to be told Pidgeot needs all the help it can get. I really doubt stats will be wasted (confirmed "great boost" to Sp.Atk and "zippy Speed"), and it may well get some new moves to abuse No Guard.
