If introducing an entirely new type specifically to serve that purpose wasn't enough, then making 1 good Ice type Mega that gets outsped isn't going to either. Just use fucking Mamoswine, it's going to be about as good and serve the same purpose, while not taking up a Megaslot.

Though I still really like M-Glalie's design. He was never my favorite but I liked him alot, but he was kind of completely and utterly shit so him being able to do something at all is nice.

That's a non-issue because so many things can go wrong if you have to use Explosion. Switching out, Protect, Substitute, not being able to use Glalie after the attack happens, etc. I'd even say its a non-issue since so many of its other attacks accomplish the same thing without it killing itself.

Even if it was priority, you're missing the point. 1 pokemon beating a broken pokemon doesn't instantly make it not broken. Otherwise, Talonflame would keep Blaziken in check.

Obviously no one is actually going to use Explosion on Azumarril but if a common Pokemon that has 100/80/80 defenses and RESISTS the hit and can be potentionally 1 shotted by it, it's no laughing matter.

I'll use the shit out of this guy! Glalie as always been a bro for looks alone, but its normal forme has horribly evened stats that made it a joke competitively speaking not to mention how it also was completely swept aside by froslass just a gen later. I hope the mega gives it a non-perfectly even stat spread.

Bulky mons that are not severely hurt from the move are crippled by the secondary effect, while frailer mons are usually OHKO or 2HKO. The "just once" thing is really stupid, especially when you realize its second best option (Night Slash) is barely stronger than it even when the target doesn't have an item.

The most powerful Explosion you could get would be with Deoxys-A with a ability like Glacitate that turns moves into a STAB bonus and gives it a attack boost. M-Glalie's Explosion would do more damage because of that
