Would Wobbuffet be one of, if not the only case of a Pokemon that just flat out wouldn't work as a mega?

Outside of item/ability synergy of course

It'd take less damage from knock off.

Put all its points in speed so we can have a fast encorerer after mega.

Well they could create some even more broken varient of shadow tag kinda like how they made super rain and super sun and just give it to megaffet.

Obviously you can just give them better stats/abilities.

Ditto and Wobuffet and Unknown are the only ones that might be hard to give a mega.

But they could get new abilities or moves to help them.

Mega Ditto gets +1 speed as an ability. Or 10% extra BST of the pokemon it transform from.

Unknown just gets a crazy Special Attack Boost.

Wobuffet gets more a buff to defense, maybe speed.

Mega Ditto would have some version of Illusion. So you'd get to bypass the species clause. Two Kyogres, just imagine.

My only concern with adding on Wobb's Ds is that Countercoat relies solely on HP loss
