Anyways, some sets that M-slowbro may be able to run, if we're talking pure defense, assuming there are no phasers left:

monowater is a good attacking type as, aside from dragons, water hits the OU metagame normally or super effectively. Alteratively, ice beam, to take care of dragons, but you're walled by steel. You could also run psyshock, but monopsychic as an attacking type usually doesn't pan out well.

Curse
Rest
Amnesia
[Attack]
This would be a bit more restricted due to slowbro's shallow physical move pool, but it does have physical moves of both its STABs, in addition to ice punch.
of course, Rest is being used for a full heal and a status removal, although slack off can be used instead so you're not restricted next turn, but then you have no way to deal with status. ST sets might work, but I personally think dual boosts will be better for it. The only thing that will present trouble to slowbro is counter boosters, like SD Scizor.
