Not including Gallade and Dusknoir (and other evos), I've yet to see evidence that the Hoenn dex is changing. Panicking.

It's only place for the cross evos/prevos before Salamence. So you should probably stop believing.

Some people will tell you that a Platinum style add-on can happen. But nothing indicates this and they deserve to have their hopes crushed when the games come out.

I'm REALLY disappointed in this, mostly because the enemy team and the Elite Four needed it.

There's a shitload of Fire, Ground and Water-types Team Aqua and Magma can work with, but they only stick to Carvahna and Numel.

And for fuck's sake, after three generations and about 350+ more Pokemon, does anyone still want Elite Four members with just 2-3 evolutionary lines of Pokemon?
At least one more Ghost-type line and Ice-type line. Just one of each and I'm good.

I would expect that most pokemon will be obtainable in the same locations as RSE.

It would be nice to see Azurill, Budew and Chingling retconned into earlier routes though.

Previous two remakes didn't have 'new' evolution lines in the regional dex, so why would this one?

'cause the Hoenn Dex could still use some more variety to their types, like what Platinum did to Diamond and Pearl

Also, X&Y gave us a regional Dex about twice the size of the original Hoenn Dex.

There are still plenty of Ground and Water types in the Hoenn dex the teams can use. Emerald adds Baltoy and Wailmer to their rosters. Doesn't seem like GF is even going to incorporate that, which sucks. I know these are RS remakes but it feels almost like they're completely ignoring Emerald and all the positive changes it had. It's not like it would be difficult to sprinkle in other pokemon of their respective types for variety.

Luvdisc went from 183 to 192 in the Hoenn dex. Probably safe to assume 9-10 pokemon added to the dex, who are probably:

Dusknoir
Gallade
Froslass
Budew
Roserade
Chingling
Probopass
Magnezone
Rhyperior

These are the 9 before Luvdisc and the only one I can think of fitting afterwards is Regigigas, though Mirage pokemon might be at the end of the dex depending on pre or post game.

In X/Y it was uncommon for pokemon you'd normally encounter on the route to be apart of hordes, and there were often pokemon only found in hordes. So will all hordes in this game just be "5 tentacool" or will hordes be exclusive to post game, or what?

Do we still have horde wild battles? Because I know we have 1v5 Trainer battles but did they confirm we're keeping hordes or is this replacing them completely. I didnt see any dark grass double battles since Gen 5 either so I honestly wouldnt be surprised
