Moody is like, at a Little League game, someone spontaneously became an MLB hall of famer and single-handedly wins the game for their team.
I never said luck is bad, but then there's luck that's just ridiculous. In case you didn't notice, you don't see smogon altering the game to remove crits or secondary effects.

Crits are rare and unreliable
Most moves have 100% accuracy, and all hit more often than not. Only Focus Blast
With Moody, you can literally spam protect/sub and have a very good chance to sweep if you get the right boosts
>protect first turn>if get boost to evasion, speed, def/sdef corresponding to current opponent, then use sub next turn>if not, then sac or switch out and try again with a different Moody userAfter that, you just alternate between protect and sub (if sub wasn't broken) and then sweep when you have enough boosts. It's a VERY low risk/tremendously high reward strategy that's very easy to pull off, and despite Moody's nature it's very consistent when you pack multiple Moody users.
If you don't think Moody is completely overpowered I seriously doubt you've ever played against it.
