Origin Giratina and Sky Shaymin weren't able to work with Diamond and Pearl when they worked with both HG/SS and Platinum. But then again Diamond and Pearl were obsolete a month after it got released. However there is an X/Y League, so you can use things like Mega Kanga/Pinsir and Talonflame unless of course these Pokemon are available in ORAS.

Except they were. And the new megas won't which is why there is a special online mode to play with X/Y.
I guess they're programming is so shit that its easier for them to dedicate part of the server to XY exclusive battling tham to patch.

The new megas are now the official main selling point of ORAS. Which means GF knows ORAS is mediocre shit that wouldn't sell if it didn't have exclusive Pokemon.

On top of that you won't be able to use the new Pokemon against people with X and Y and will be limited to a small community.

No it hasn't been. Sure there were 1 or 2 Pokemon with exclusive new forms for the new Pokemon, but it has never been this qunatity. This is absolute bullshit and inexcusable, ESPECIALLY now that it's patchable. I would've thrown a shitfit back at BW2 days, too if the games were patchable.

If the game offered a good overhaul of the whole Hoenn region with many exclusive things to do (like Emerald Battle Frontier), patching a few megas would be no problem, since people would stay for all the other features.

Sure, it's somewhat lazy on GF's part, but I mean, when a new Pokémon game is released I don't play the old one much except for the occasional replay or Nuzlocke. I reckon a lot of people are the same and are just getting upset for the sake of getting upset.

X and Y aren't great games, OP. ORAS, if everything goes well, will fix a bunch of the problems X and Y had. In my opinion, GF made X and Y basically obsolete from day one with the shitty post game, but I'm not really into the competitive scene, so I never had a reason to play it more than one or two times through.
