Honestly, I figured at some point they would try a mega that changes drastically from its normal form, to the point where it's almost something completely different.

If it is a mega evolution, I think it does its job pretty well because it actually feels like an evolution and not just a new form like most megas

Can someone explain why this shit fakemon tier form needed a tail?

The model itself looks like a shitty result of a splicing.

Seriously, this needed a quality check before being confirmed by the designers. The tail was really redundant, they could have added something else if they really wished to use an aesthetic addition. Only the hands look cool.

Turns out that an already ugly standard Hoopa is better than its stronger form in terms of design.
