If we find pokemon with new and unusual moves, we might be able to figure out what other pokemon get Megas!

Treecko didn't get anything new, if anything the pokemon with new egg moves/moves might just be gamefreak's way of saying "well not everyone can have a mega maybe new moves will make them viable/fun to use"
