It never says it provides [C]. It says it provides [G] but only when attatched to a [G], otherwise it discards. In other words, it's a [G] that only works for [G] pokemon.

I thought it'd work on the same principle as moving Rainbows and Prisms with Aromatisse.
Of course this is all assuming that the translation for Sceptile is correct and it doesn't mean "basic" energy.

Also, the question wasn't whether it'll make Herbal not work, but whether it'll heal via Sceptile's ability on top of Herbal's healing.
I.e. heal for 60 rather than 30.

You get a pack when you get 10,000 points (or some other number, but it's close to that) on one Trainer. You also get 4 packs when you get the same number of points on each trainer in a league and when you complete 12 battles with a theme deck (decks like Rallying Cry and the Basic Red/Blue/Yellow/Orange decks are excluded from this bonus).

You have to battle every trainer until you get 4 stars. Each one gives you one booster pack, and when you get 4 stars on all the trainers of the same category (Gold, Platinum and City Championship) you get an additional 4 boosters. All of them are untradeable, though.

So I was digging around in my room today. I found my bunch of old Pokemon cards. I have a few from the first set, a few from Jungle, and a few from. Uh. The next one? Fossil, I think. Then Team Rocket. Hell if I know. I do know I have about 6 rare cards between the 4 sets. About how much would those things be worth?

That being said, I also have my book of holographic cards, most rare, probably about 40 of them and in good condition (I don't know what determines mint and not mint). About how much would those be worth?

What I'm trying to ask is how much are these kinda cards are worth. I'm not into the TCG and I kinda kept them for novelty, but I'd sell them if I could make a nice buck off of em.

I know it's not in the client, on second thought. The game connects to the server to load assets (including card art; anyone playing on a slow connection can see that).

So I guess we'd need to tap into their servers somehow and jack all the art from there. That's out of my reach; I know even less about networking and servers than I do about clientside software.

The client used to have the assets client side loaded they where all in encrypted unity files, I remeber trying to do this before.

They changed it with the new client do the download method becasue of the 'fatal error in GC'
They couldnt figure out how to program unity's garbage collection properly to release the cached memory images that inflated over time a new card was loaded causing ebbin lag and crashes lel

so I assume they started a new build with ipad and download function in mind as a work around

sucks if you dont have 100/100 fiber and SSD but it IS nearly 2015 scrubs.

You can run a packet capture program like wireshark and load you collection looking for the packets that call the card images, but im 90% sure it was encrypted data when I looked at this ages ago for cheat reasons obviously.

If you know how to dissassemble in ram its not impossible.

but you want individual layers of the art? like the bacground card, images, symbols ect?

that wont be available unless you intrude the local network and rip the (ill assume) photoshop files.
they might even get localised in the main pokemon branch not on site with these small group of lame cowboys.

pokebeach has all the images tho?
or TCGone has them all id imagine

Your opponent chooses the Defending Pokémon to switch if you're playing a double battle, those were a thing that never caught on. You choose the benched Pokémon to bring forward. Also, GoW wasn't legal when Pow! was.

I was planning on doing gengar ex/trevenant/virbank deck with a bunch of stuff to switch in to like sigilyph. A mega gengar deck seems risky since it relies on bigger, better attacks on the board. If no one has a good attack on the board, you're just going to have to copy some weak attack which took you some effort to achieve.

I have gotten lucky once or twice with a good pull (pic related), but there are alot of fillers.
I could buy a pack, and get nothing but junk.

I used to play the game IRL, and sometimes play a little of the free online one.

And what's wrong with collecting cards? I don't keep every card, just the ultra rare ones, or do you guys throw those away too? And I sometimes make a some nice cash on selling some of them. I also sell the alot of unused card codes on eBay since I pretty much stop playing the game, but like to see what they got new.

Do you even know how the tcg works? Most decks run 10-18 pokemon, 30 trainers and 10-15 energy. Just focus on the fighting cards. Landorus, Lucario, and Machamp. To use Machamp well you really need rare candies.

I haven't touched the TCG since the OG fossil series. and i used to love collecting but never got into actually playing the card game itself, other than the gameboy color game.

I tried yugioh in high school, but quit because i went to school with mostly rich kids (back when 4 star 1900's were the thing) and i got stomped all the time.

The same time i was playing magic, but even though i have a lot of disposable incoming now, i don't like how MTG has become a game were deepest pockets wins. The game has too many turn 1 insta rape combos and isn't fun anymore.

I've been following the TCG franchise throughout DP to HGSS and to be honest I think that was the best ERA. The current collection has been so oversimplified with not so many battle mechanics (but then again that may be what you prefer).

I'd suggest trying out the app first to get a feel of the current metagame before shelling out any cash. I'm personally holding out until I see any improvements.

It seems like the only reason you'd run it is that you have a stage 2 deck that is going to take years to set up. That way you can go down in prizes and utilize N more effectively by tossing a bunch of filler cards back into your opponents deck beforehand.

Been refining this deck all day.

Runs absolutely perfectly so far. If I grab ghetsis on the first hand and play it, almost a guarantee to draw 3+ cards. Managed to get Dusk and Garb out on the third turn with Lando leading the way. 6 prizes to none. Thinking about dropping 1 or 2 trainers for 2 max potions to clean Lando when he is almost done for. I rarely attach more than 1 fighting energy anyway.

A non-Mega Lucario card is much rarer unless you got a Secret rare one with gold boarders.

Mega Lucario is pretty easy to get, I already got two of them, but a EX FA Lucario is what goes the most.

Please explain in detail what the problem is, what the error is, what operating system you have and as much details as possible please.

You need to uninstall the game via the refresher launcher

windows 7

open the add/ remove programs in control panel
RIGHT CLICK pokemon TCG
choose CHANGE not uninstall
this will run the refresher installer and you can select repair or uninstal
CHOOSE UNINSTALL from the menu
the client will uninstall correctly and you can re install from the new launcher you downloaded from pokemon.com

OR

use the worlds best search engine and look for a program called 'ccleaner'
uninstall PTCGO from the tools menu and run the registry scan for apps, app paths, obsolete software.

then make absoloutley sure you have downloaded the latest installer from the official pokemon website.

There's a timer that's displayed when you check your rewards and you get the next prize when that timer runs out.

Booster pack codes give you a virtual pack of the same set the code came from with the contents of the pack being randomized to an extent.

Theme deck codes give you a virtual "boxed" version of the deck you redeemed and allow you to use said theme deck in the Trainer Challenge, but unlike pack codes the contents are the same for every theme deck of that type.

There are codes that only give you a card, but these are usually reserved for promotional/value products like EX tins. promotional League code cards also give you cards instead of packs or theme decks.

Pretty much. Trying to stuff everything that can counter tournaments-winning strategies into a single deck means you'd have to sacrifice deck synergy, which turns the deck into a clunky mess.

And remember, a rogue deck that can easily beat all meta decks becomes a meta deck itself.

It varies from year to year, but the last two season's have had exactly three sets being rotated out (BW-on to NXD on for the 2013-2014 season and NXD-on to BCR-on for the current season).

So to make it clear, we usually don't know until after Nationals or Worlds.

The Metal-type stuff looks good in theory, but its soon-to-be energy acceleration and damage blocking are Ability-based (which isn't good with Garbodor around). Aegislash EX is also good for countering Fairy-types.

Editing and saving the deck allows you to change the name of the deck, which sleeves are used, and which coin is used.

This year I got back into Pokemon cards again, my girlfriend brought me a pack for fun, and got a FA Charizard out of it. after that we were hook on getting more.

Right now I only collect for fun with my girl because I don't want to get into the playing at comix book shops, and deal with smelly neck beards and shot noise kids. Pokemon cards are much more enjoyable to play online, away from people like that.

Hey /vp/ is there a way to change the order in which the names of the cards you offer in a trade appear?

You know, it's always "Xcard + Xnumber of cards" and I always get shitty results. Like offering very rare cards along with some uncommons and it ends up being shit like "Stunfisk + 4" when I'm offering 2 Hawluchas for example. Is this changeable?

use the card drop down menu and click cards for the advanced filter options.

select the card number from the set you want and tick only one box of getting or giving.
