Forgot to ask but, does it even make a difference if the name is in Japanese or Not? The game switches the pokemon's name when it transforms anyway.

It is possible. You just need to have an ENG game with the same Trainer ID as the Ditto's OT.

I have several myself. I have given up trying to trade for every ditto that is in English and posted up by a Japanese person. Or asking for it in my thing.

Yeah, I just want to have it as it's English name. If I plan to live dex it, it's what I want.
I was hoping to find someone that has a Japanese 3ds and a Japanese version of x or y. So they could catch and name it for me.

I went onto some japanese sites looking and google translate posting but it was getting me nowhere.
