This is unfair. Why can't Gardevoir's mega have 95 defense and 110 speed like Gallade's did? The poor thing needs sticky web support before it can deal with a Garchomp or a Terrakion.

It does bug me how all of the new Megas seem to have hyper-optimized stat distribution, but so many of the original Megas have 'balanced' stats.

I would really love for a retcon of stats for a lot of the original Megas, but I know that's not going to happen.

Still, it's a complete waste that many other Megas don't have to deal with. In fact, not only did a lot of the new Megas get a boost in appropriate stats, they had un-optimized stats lowered and those points put into decent stats.

Gardevoir got kind of lucky with only 20 wasted points going into Attack, but I'd rather it go into defense or speed. All I'm saying is the new Megas are more or less designed for competitive, while the old ones were just them testing the water.

Ideally M-Gardevoir's stats would be

This is, of course, not assuming a true min-max, but something close to it. Will it happen? Not a chance, but it'd be nice when you look at Pokemon like Salamence.

Metagross got 10/20/10/20/40 boosts, which is pretty unfocused.
Sceptile's boosts are 25/10/40/0/25, which is more mixed than it would've liked.
Sableye got 10/50/20/50/-30. Gross.
The 20/30/15/25/10 increases that Sharpedo got put it solidly in the "mediocre" category.

I'm a programmer for a small indie game studio. It amazes me how poorly coded the Pokemon games are. When there's no competition for them and they don't have to worry about their product being disliked, I suppose you don't have to worry about having clean, efficient code.

There's some reasons for this. Have some copypasta.

Basically, the data pulled out had Tutor Moves recorded as slots that referenced the tutors and their lists of moves, but not the actual move it represented.

However, based upon distribution of the slots, it was found these match up exactly to the BW2 tutors.
