Alright, /vp/, this is the ORAS Competitive General!

Here you can talk/rave/vent about the new moves/megas in ORAS and especially how they can/will be used competitively and how you will use them!

Get ideas from other /vp/oreons, talk about strategies, it's all here!

Also I'm not caught up with all the new moves myself and I want to make some competitive preparations

I'm actually most excited for M-Lopunny because then we might get Aegislash back. As far as what I'm going to use, M-Steelix is the wall to end all walls, and double hit pinsir is a monster

Just wanted to rant for a bit. I'm kinda upset about the speed powercreep considering they dropped Garchomp's speed. It should've either stayed the same or gone up from 102 to 107, I feel.

I like that Gallade and Metagross got the jump, but everyone else *cough Salamence* should've gotten reasonable Speed changes, if any.

It doesn't work like that, having one proper counter doesn't stop a pokemon being Uber.

OP here, is there any way I can get a condensed list of all the new viable moves? ex. Double Hit Pinsir and Crunch Gyarados. I have those pokemon all trained in my Y game but if the new moves are really I'll probably end up transferring them over

Garchomp becomes less aerodynamic(scythes rather than fins) hence loss of speed.

I'm really disappointed in M-Audino. GF could've made such a good Gen5 mega but instead they chose a crappy pokemon and gave it a crappy mega.
