Ariana was answered first, seeing as she was the prettiest on present.

Another smile flashed her way.

Trace: "And yes, our home remains as lucrative as ever. We've got quite the pile of options ahead of us, it will be a fun ride."

To Archer he gave a frown, not exactly glad to be the bearer of bad news. He had to know either way, and would find out shortly even if he didn't say anything.

Trace: "As far as I'm aware, we don't actually HAVE a head of cooking. The division has been too small to ever warrant one. I'll bring up the one that rallied the grunts though, he's the closest thing outside of Rosa Blanco, whom I think is still en-route with her brother, Zera."

Either way, he flashed those gathered a grin and simply disappeared, fading into the wall and slipping away to hunt down his target.

Ariana seemed pleased at the answers given by the ninja. She quietly contemplated the local situation, and made a note to go look around the city herself the next time the opportunity presented itself. Castellia was often hailed as one of the most lucrative cities in the world, where opportunity existed behind every corner. Who better than Rocket, then, to exploit all of them? Their current arrangement sounded like it could potentially be very profitable, but for now she remained reserved. She remembered the earliest days of Rocket clearly, the setup was rocky at best. Better to take things slow, not expand beyond their means and bring down their house before its foundation can settle.

Who knows? Maybe Archer could be convinced to come out of his den and accompany? He did know his way around the town better than anyone else, save perhaps the man whom she watched meld into the stonework before her eyes.

That was met with another startled look.

"I'm curious how they do that." She said aloud, though it was aimed primarily at herself. Reaching out with a hand, she touched the wall where Trace just was, as if half expecting another secret passage. Rocket did so love them.

Either way, the one they were waiting for appeared shortly, but without Trace. He looked a bit nervous, giving a salute before speaking.

"Rocket Cook Adrian reporting. Executive Trace said something came up and sent me on alone."

He looked over those gathered with a careful eye that showed the nervousness was a cover, he had seen enough shit over the years that normal humans, even these particular ones, didn't bother him anymore. Worst THEY could do was kill him, not so for some of the shit they'd seen over the years.

Petrel's unusual disposition has been something on the executive's mind for awhile, it wasn't as recent as this meeting might lead some to think. Everything she had was in Olivine and that meant she didn't need to leave much, and that in turn meant she was able to oversee her inferiors with regularity. It was a troubling topic, but Petrel was one of the most mysterious men in their ranks. Prying an answer out of him would probably be harder than taking the sword from the stone, or, a meaningful answer at any rate. She'd have to do something about that later, it seems leaving the base hadn't helped matters, just made them worse.

She took his lead and stepped back into the elevator, glad to be getting out of these tunnels. When the work on the base was done she'd have to take a closer look around, but for now she didn't fancy the idea of seeing the incomplete sections for herself. There had been a lot of rumors of muks and worse living down here circling around for years, making her suspect that the work down here wasn't as simple as pouring concrete and digging canals.

Petrel looked at Daniel, his eyes being sharp. Another fucking cook instead of a well-trained expert. Yet again Rocket keeps messing up even more than he did. Was this how people saw his loose lips? That was awful. He could tell right away Petrel was displeased about a number of operations here, but he kept quiet. Soon enough, Petrel slumped in the elevator and read that map some more. Legitimacy his ass... Any second now they'd start expanding operations and be like 'mwahaha now we're back in business'.

Proton swallowed as he looked towards Petrel, then back at Archer. "Yeah, can you give me a rundown of our operations in a file for us and my subordinates later? We'll help out in a few ways..." He didn't want to outright say he'd rather not have any illegality in Olivine, but no one would think of it as a sane decision. Especially not that they were in Unova, a place that had been formerly wrecked front to back once. God knows what would still be here.

Speaking of those two, Adrian focused mainly on Petrel. Getting in an elevator with him was not something he was looking forward to. The guy gave off a strange amount of animosity.

The other though, he looked like the mediator of the two.

All in all, it was exactly as he remembered them and as the stories said. Archer just wasn't completely off his rocker this time around.

He remained silent outside of what he said to Archer though, joining them all in the elevator even if he didn't want to.

"I've heard that you are capable, and good at rallying your peers" Archer said "I'll need someone like that in the kitchen."

The party (four executives, one Slowking, and one grunt) clustered into the elevator, and they ascended back to street level. From his pocket, Archer retrieved a key-card, swiping it against a reader by the emergency stop level. The elevator's metal doors swung open, and as the light on the reader changed from red to green, the wall slid into the open position, revealing the interior of the back of the restaurant.

Once the party had settled in, the briefing could begin in earnest. Archer retrieved a pair of folders from his desk, handing one to Ariana and one to Proton.

"Ariana, you'll be in charge of balancing our budget" Archer said. "A simple enough task, provided Petrel and Proton do theirs. I trust that an easy, cushy job you can do from the comfort of a ground-level office will be no trouble to you?"

To Proton, the executive said "You and Petrel will be laundering our finances. One of the men from the former Celadon branch is sending men over to Sevii, and I've given him your contact information. If possible, I'd like one of you to launder money for the restaurant, and the other to launder money for whatever project is underway in Sevii."

"You'll be able to work out of Johto, which I trust will present no problems for the two of you."

Last, Archer turned to the newcomer of the company. "As for you, dear chef..." the executive trailed off, stepping forward to clasp a hand against Adrian's shoulder "I want you to be heading the kitchen. You'll be able to choose any of the other cooks you like to join you, but I want you as head chef."

"I trust that this transition will not be a problem for you."

The redhair was quick to take the folder that was offered to her. She moved to sit in one of the chairs on the far side of Archer's desk, and once so planted, thumbed through it briefly to get an idea of what was expected of her in more detail than what was said aloud.

She didn't look up when addressed, but gave a nod of affirmation. "Something with a view would be nice, but we can arrange something to that effect later."

She let the other executive make his roll call, taking that time to read further and flipping the document closed once he had basically laid out everything that needed to be said initially. "We'll need to be careful of how we play our cards, the taxmen in this country are a lot more ravenous than back home. It would be a little too ironic if we went the way of Capone. You can leave it to me to keep them off our backs."

Petrel sneered at Archer's comment of laundering. Why now? Why now when they had just gotten it perfectly legal? They controlled the shipping in a way they couldn't be traced... Damnit, more laundering of foreign money was sure to get Interpol on their asses. Fools. Fools. Fools.

Proton simply nodded as he helped Petrel out of the elevator and back into the main area. "Gotcha... Don't worry, I'll get some others to help out in Petrel's absence. I selected a few no-names in my absence to help keep things going if we're not there." Proton pulled his beret down over his eyes, hiding his eyes from normal view. He'd have to think if J and G were willing to be up for this one. "So you don't need to worry about our end."

Petrel looked at Ariana for a minute, kind of bitter about how she already received favoritism. Bleh. He faced back to his map, keeping his face buried in it and his thoughts to himself. He wanted no part of this expansion. It would only bring unwanted trouble upon everyone...

"...Just don't overstep anything Archer," Petrel said, "...Cause I can't assist foreign affairs and neither can Pro..." Petrel brings up a good point... Too much overstepping would have to have them stay back in case something went wrong.

Capable described him well enough, he supposed. Not dead would be a better choice, but hey, a new job was a new job. Rallying people he was better at though, he'd had to do that a lot when shit got hectic back in Celadon and people needed to move it or lose it. Hell, even back in the original base he had had to do that a time or two when things got hot.

He waited silently for his turn to be addressed, giving a pleased grin when the job was offered. He might not be a huge fan of the whole physical contact thing, but again, job was a job. Pay was ass for a grunt, even one who lived as long as he did.

"Shouldn't be any issue at all, sir. I can still get out and about in some of the field work on occasion though, right? My team would get antsy if not, and they can be a handful when that happens."

Last time he had had to replace half his kitchen thanks to all the poison they got all over the place.

But the choices of who did what didn't really surprise him. He'd have to really hope Ariana wasn't kidding when she said she could keep the law off their tail. Moving once was bad enough, and a ton of work for that matter, doing it again would really lower moral.

Finally the duo. He wasn't sure he trusted them, but then again he didn't really trust anybody. It was worse as a cook, really, because he knew a hundred ways and more to kill a guy with just his food. Made a man paranoid.

But mostly it looked like one of them wasn't happy with orders. He couldn't tell with the second, but anybody not happy with what they were doing was a danger. He might have to bring it up later, once he knew the water better.

Luckily for Rocket, Ariana was quite skilled in manners of legality. She had never really came to shine in battle prowess or leadership like her three counterparts sharing this space, but she certainly didn't attain the rank of second mate off of looks alone. Her skills were merely focused in areas that were better used behind the scenes, so to speak.

If anyone was equipped to tangle with the IRS, it would be her. As long as no blood got into the water the sharks should stay away, so hopefully the illegal half of the franchise would keep their own noses clean. She'd chat with Archer about those details later, and whoever would be tackling that front personally.

The discussion regarding Petrel caught her ear, and it was somewhat relieving to know that she wasn't the only one to notice that he was off. The flipside to that was anyone else who looked at him would know there was a problem brewing here, and that was even worse. It presented a clear weakness in their chain of command, to be exploited or compromised. While she trusted him highly, she also had to admit she had no true idea what was going on in his mind.

It wasn't the kind of thing they needed during the baby steps of this venture.

"Petrel is a seasoned Rocket, he'll come around." Was added alongside of Archer's reassurance. It wasn't the first time someone got disillusioned with the job, that was just a fact of life.

It was good to know his word had been headed as well. It would have been embarrassing if something had happened only for him to later come out and say he had seen it coming. He could dream though, and dream he would until otherwise necessary. He'd just need a few things prepared and ready just in case.

The next bit got a salute, likely one of the last he would be giving for some time now. It seems he had been caught in the act.

"Sorry, old habits and all that. Safer to feign and go unnoticed than, well, be noticed. We've had some crazy people working for us before, pays to be as safe as you can without going overboard."

With that and Ariana's addition he felt a bit better about things, but he'd be watching either way. Cooking wasn't the only skill he had picked up from... how long now? Almost six years? At least five, that much he was sure about. Either way, he'd learned a few things while working with Team Rocket, and anything that kept him alive was useful in his book.

"I look forward to working with you both. Have a nice evening."

And with that he departed, grinning all the way back down into the new base while he planned how to celebrate. He'd heard the Scouts had found some good whiskey laying around somewhere...

Daniel had been spending his time hanging around the sewer entrance due to lack of an actual gate or base. This was a mindset Daniel couldn't understand, wanting to work!? That was practically blasphemy to him. If he could get paid to do absolutely nothing, he would. She was probably telling him so he could empathize though, so he tried his best to understand where she was coming from.

Daniel whispered to himself before turning back to address Rosa. I mean it wasn't totally his fault right? They were living in a sewer, of course that didn't change the fact he hadn't showered since the boat, but still!

"Yes, of course...."

Daniel looked beaten as he led Rosa to the restaurant, being sure to stay downwind of her. Once they were at the entrance, Daniel saw her off and headed back into the city. He wasn't returning to base until he found some flowery-ass Pokemon to fix the sewer smell!

Autor, quite literally. Dennis had bumped into him while he was scouring the streets himself. Autor backed up, not sure if it was his fault since he was so lost in his investigation. He wouldn't want to draw attention to himself either.

It seemed the guy was looking for information on a Pokemon Center. It was hard to find in a place as large as Castelia, but Autor had happened to see a sign pointing in the direction of one. He relayed the info to the Dennis and was ready to get back on his merry way.
