A little too early to deem it a failure, and I actually think Mega Sceptile will perform decently well despite that higher SpAtk-Poor special movepool problem. But damn mang, that missed opportunity.

no he's right, all of them have serious issues that prevent them from performing as well as they were meant to.
Blastoise has no recovery.
Houndoom has to be paired with Ninetales to be good.
Abomasnow is too slow and Snow Warning is no longer useful.
Pidgeot is a worse Tornadus-T.
Audino is Taunt bait and has a useless ability.
Glalie needs more speed.
Steelix is a worse Mega Aggron.
Latias benefits more from Leftovers than her Mega evolution.

Except no it isn't. Mega Latios can actually run a DD set to distinguish itself from its base form. Mega Latias can't even hold Leftovers so the extra bulk is offset by the lack of recovery.
Of course both of them should stick to their bas eforms if they run specially offensive sets because they can use LO/Specs/Scarf.

Change the megapidgeotto ability for gale wings and I think it's ready for meta. He suppose to fly at match 2 speed or at least adaptability it's much better than no guard.

M-Latias just seems like a better Latios now.

Mixed M-Latios hadnt occured to me though. Draco Meteoring and then DDancing and still being able to keep going with Outrage/Dragon Claw doesnt sound too bad.
