Do you think they will fix the turn assignment one day? Some megas are really hurt by not benefiting from the speed gains in the turn they mega evolve.

I think they will fix it. There is no ligical reason for the system that's in place now.
However I don't thik it will happen until gen VII, it's a too large change if the games are going to be compatible.

Everything else takes effect after the mega evolution.

Attack gains, weather conditions, abilities. Everything but speed.

It's annoying as hell as some Pokémon, such a Beedrill, end up getting screwed a big time.

Speed does apply for things like Electro Ball and Gyro Ball.
Since you M-Evolve during the turn the action order doesn't change, in the same manner that being paralysed mid-turn doesn't send you down the queue in a doubles/triples match.
Nothings broken.

I think the reason it's in place as it is, is that the player can make better judgment about that turn's action order as they plan with out it switching up mid-turn.
I also don't think most people are saying it isn't possible for them to change the turn queue as a pokemon mega evolves, just that it was an intentional design choice that it is the way it is.
